Question

I smoked cigarettes for about 5 years and switched to vaping 2 years ago thinking it was healthier. I vape pretty heavily throughout the day. Lately I've been getting chest tightness in the mornings and occasionally wheeze when I take a deep breath.

Context

My friends who vape say chest tightness is normal. I want to quit entirely but it's harder to quit vaping than it was to quit cigarettes.

I quit vaping 8 months ago and the morning chest tightness went away within 2 weeks. It was definitely the vape.

Honestly the lozenges helped me more than the patch. Different strokes I guess.

Chest tightness and wheezing are not normal. Your friends are wrong, and the fact that you can't quit suggests how addictive nicotine still is in vape form.
