CareIMO is not a healthcare provider. CareIMO does not provide medical advice, diagnose conditions, prescribe treatments, or deliver healthcare services of any kind. The information shared on CareIMO by users and providers is for general informational and educational purposes only.

No Doctor–Patient Relationship
Using CareIMO does not create a doctor–patient, dentist–patient, therapist–client, veterinarian–client–patient, or any other provider–patient relationship. This applies to all interactions on the platform, including:
Verified providers on CareIMO share general, educational information. Their responses are not individualized medical advice directed at you, even if they respond to your specific post. Content Is User-Generated
All questions, answers, comments, and images on CareIMO are posted by users and providers — not by CareIMO. Users and providers are solely responsible for the content they post.

CareIMO does not endorse, recommend, or guarantee any information, opinion, treatment, product, or provider discussed on the platform. The appearance of content on CareIMO — including responses from verified providers — does not constitute an endorsement by CareIMO.
What “Verified Provider” Means
“Verified Provider” means that CareIMO checked a provider’s professional credentials at a specific point in time. Verification confirms that the provider submitted documentation of their licensure or credentials and that CareIMO reviewed that documentation.
Verification does not mean that CareIMO:
You should independently verify a provider’s credentials through your state’s licensing board or professional registry before making healthcare decisions based on information from CareIMO.
CareIMO Is a Public Platform
Everything you post on CareIMO — including health questions, replies, and clinical images — is publicly visible. Your posts can be seen by other users, visitors who are not logged in, and internet search engines. Content may be copied, saved, or shared by others.
CareIMO is not HIPAA-compliant. CareIMO is not a covered entity or business associate under HIPAA. The platform does not provide a secure or confidential communication channel for health information. Do not post information on CareIMO that you need to remain private or confidential.
Before posting, think carefully about what you are sharing. CareIMO accounts use a username, and you are not required to use your real name. Avoid including personally identifying information such as your full name, address, phone number, date of birth, insurance ID, or Social Security number in your posts.
Veterinary Discussions
CareIMO supports discussions about pet and animal health. The same disclaimers that apply to human health discussions apply to veterinary discussions: CareIMO does not provide veterinary advice, no veterinarian–client–patient relationship is created, and you should consult a licensed veterinarian for your animal’s specific health needs.
