CAREIMO
About CareIMO
What is CareIMO?
CareIMO is a public health discussion and provider discovery platform. People come here to ask health questions, get answers from verified healthcare providers and community members, and find providers they trust. Everything is public and transparent — so everyone can learn from every conversation.

How does CareIMO work?
It’s simple. Post a health question about yourself, a family member, or a pet. Verified providers and community members respond publicly. As you read answers and learn, you can browse the provider directory to find someone you’d want to see in person — based on their answer history, specialties, location, and credentials.
Is CareIMO medical advice?
No. CareIMO is an educational discussion platform. All content is for informational and educational purposes only. No provider–patient, doctor–patient, or veterinarian–client relationship is created through the platform. Discussions are meant to help you learn, explore perspectives, and ask better questions — not to replace professional consultations. Always consult your own provider for personal health decisions.

Is CareIMO HIPAA-compliant?
No. CareIMO is not a HIPAA-covered entity and does not provide a secure or confidential communication channel. Everything you post on CareIMO is publicly visible. Do not post information that you need to remain private or confidential.
How is CareIMO different from other health Q&A sites?
Most health Q&A platforms give you one anonymous answer and move on. On CareIMO, verified providers discuss your question openly — comparing perspectives, respectfully debating interpretations, and building on each other’s insights. You don’t get a single opinion. You get a real conversation. And then you can visit any provider’s profile to see their full history of contributions before deciding if they’re someone you’d want to see in person.
Is it free to use?
Browsing discussions and learning from existing content is free for everyone. Users can create an account to post questions and participate in discussions. Provider directory listings and enhanced profile features are available through provider plans.
Your Account
How do I create an account?
Tap “Sign Up” on the app or website. You’ll provide a username, your name, date of birth, and location. CareIMO requires all users to be at least 18 years old.
Do I need to use my real name?
Your account has a username, and your posts are displayed under that username. You are not required to use your real name as your username. We recommend avoiding personally identifying information in your username and posts to protect your privacy.
How do I delete my account?
You can request account closure through your account settings or by emailing support@careimo.com. When your account is closed, your profile is removed from public display and your registration data is deleted or anonymized. Public posts you made may be retained in de-identified form to preserve the continuity of discussion threads.

Posting and Content
Can anyone see the discussions?
Yes. All questions and discussions on CareIMO are publicly viewable — by other users, visitors who aren’t logged in, and search engines. This is by design. The collective knowledge on CareIMO benefits everyone, not just the person who asked.
Can I post test results, X-rays, or photos?
Yes. Adding context like images, test results, or consultation notes helps providers give more meaningful educational responses. Before uploading, you’ll be asked to confirm that you have the right to share the image and that you understand it will be publicly visible. Only share information you’re comfortable having on a public platform. Remember, CareIMO is not HIPAA-compliant.
Important: Images of intimate body parts of anyone under 18 are absolutely prohibited, regardless of context or medical purpose. See our Community Guidelines for the full image rules.
Can I post about my child or my pet?
Children: Yes, parents and guardians may post health questions about their children. Do not include the child’s full name, date of birth, school, or other identifying information. Do not upload photos showing the child’s face. Do not upload images of intimate body parts of any minor — this is strictly prohibited with no exceptions.
Pets: Yes. CareIMO supports veterinary discussions. You must be the pet’s owner or authorized caretaker. The same disclaimers apply — CareIMO does not provide veterinary advice and no vet–client–patient relationship is created.
Providers
What kinds of providers are on CareIMO?
CareIMO supports a wide range of healthcare professionals, including MDs, DOs, NPs, PAs, DDSs, DMDs, PTs, RDNs, Psychologists, OTs, SLPs, Veterinarians, and others. If you hold a professional license or credential in a health-related field, CareIMO is for you.
How are providers verified?
Every provider goes through a credential verification process. This includes reviewing their professional license, credentials, and identification to confirm active standing at the time of review. Verified providers are clearly labeled with a verification badge.
What verification does NOT mean: Verification does not guarantee ongoing licensure, clinical competence, quality of care, or suitability for any purpose. CareIMO does not conduct ongoing monitoring after initial verification. You should independently verify a provider’s credentials through your state licensing board.

Can providers answer anonymously?
Yes. Providers can choose to respond with their full identity and credentials visible, or they can contribute anonymously as a “Verified Provider.” Either way, CareIMO retains full identity records internally for moderation and safety purposes. When users mark their answers as helpful, that recognition is accumulated on their profile regardless of how they posted.
How do I become a verified provider?
If you’re a licensed healthcare professional, you can apply for verification through the app. The process involves selecting your provider type, submitting your license information, NPI (if applicable), and government-issued ID. CareIMO’s team will review your submission. Once verified, you’ll have access to provider features including the provider directory listing, Curbside, and the ability to post as a verified provider.
How do provider rankings and the leaderboard work?
The provider directory defaults to ranking providers by the number of helpful votes they’ve received from the community. You can filter and sort by specialty, location, insurance, and other criteria. The leaderboard ranks providers by contribution metrics like answers posted and helpful votes received. Rankings are based entirely on platform activity — not payment. Providers cannot pay for a higher organic ranking.
Sponsored providers appear in a separate, clearly labeled section and do not affect organic rankings.

Curbside
What is Curbside?
Curbside is a private discussion space exclusively for verified providers. It’s a place for healthcare professionals to discuss clinical questions, share knowledge, and learn from peers across specialties — away from the public feed. Think of it as the professional conversation that happens between colleagues.
How do I get access to Curbside?
You must be a verified provider in good standing. Once your verification is complete, Curbside access is available in the app. If your verification is pending, incomplete, or has been revoked, Curbside will be inaccessible until verification is resolved.
